WHAT IS THE TEHAMA COUNTY COOPERATIVE (CO-OP)?

Presently 14 school districts in Tehama County, representing 39 schools along with the County School Superintendent, operate a service to assist with the administration of State and Federal categorical funds. Part-time coordinators and a part-time secretary provide these services along with assistance from other Department of Education personnel. The County Superintendent provides an office and communication assistance.

WHAT ARE THE SERVICES?

  • Consolidated Application and Reporting System (CARS) submission of winter and spring reports.
  • Assist and monitor plans for Districts/School required by the Department of Education (SPSA, ESSA, Safety, etc.)
  • Conduct  Business Meetings at the County Office
  • School Site Council (SSC) training workshops
  • Administrator trainings on Categorical Programs
  • Assist Districts using the California Accounting and Improvement System (CAIS)
  • Representation at Schoolwide Support,  CO-OP Director's meetings, and CDE monthly briefings
  • Oversee the Title III Consortium for Immigrant and LEP Funding
  • "Staying on Track" information publication and quick response to member's questions and concerns
