Junk Robot Competition!

We are asking anyone 18 and under to put together the most unique robot using old parts and pieces that would otherwise be thrown away. Whether it performs a task or can righteously stand alone, the most innovative an creative robots will be shown at this year's Maker Showcase at the Tehama District Fair! This is your opportunity to look at the things around you in a new way, and bring your ideas to life!

JUNK ROBOTS ARE DUE JULY 9TH

Step 1. SUBMIT FORM By June 16th:

  1. Please print and fill out the JR ENTRY FORM (Under 18). You will need to view the Makerspace Division Information to properly fill out the entry form. ​
    Forms are also available at the Tehama County Department of Education 1135 Lincoln Street Red Bluff and at the Tehama District Fair Grounds 650 Antelope Blvd. Red Bluff
     
  2. Turn in your entry form to the Tehama District Fair Grounds Main Office ​by JUNE 16, 2017, no later than 5pm.
     
  3. ​There is a $1 (one dollar) participation fee that will need to be paid when submitting your form for entry. 

Step 2.  BUILD/ HAVE FUN:

Build your junk robot! Literally find garbage, scraps, and any other junk you come across and start creating!

Step 3.  SUBMIT ROBOT By July 9th:

Bring your completed Junk Robot to the Tehama District Fair, Junior Art Building on Sunday, July 9, 2017, between 8:30am and 6pm.
VISIT the Maker Showcase to view your robot and see what others came up with!

Step 4.  PICK UP:

Come back to the Tehama District Fair Grounds, Junior Art Building on Monday, September 26, 2016, between 9:30 am to 4:00 pm to take home your creation!
