National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week Jan 22-28, 2018

National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) is an annual health observance for teens that uses science to dispel myths about drugs and drug addiction that students receive from TV, social media, music, movies, family and friends.   During the week, schools and communities across the nation will sponsor a variety of events that provide teens with scientific facts.

The observance is sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), two of the research centers at the National Institutes of Health. 

Take part in our events!

In Tehama County, community events will include government proclamations, a free opioid documentary, and a Drug-Facts Game Night.  School-based events will include lunchtime activities, poster displays, morning announcements, and classroom presentations.

All teens and adults are invited to take the IQ Challenge.  To download the Challenge, click below:
