who we are
The Tehama County Department of Education is an accredited agency for both Teacher Induction and Career Technical Education (CTE) teacher preparation programs. Both programs are governed by the California Department of Education. The vision of the TTIP is to provide individualized job-embedded support and personalized coaching where candidate and mentor pairs can learn, thrive, and succeed in improving teacher efficacy and ultimately enhancing all students' growth and learning. Our mission is to be RESPONSIVE to the needs of RURAL educators and help them curate RELATIONSHIPS that will serve them throughout their careers.
our TEACHER INDUCTION PROGRAM
Tehama Teacher Induction Program is a two-year, individualized, job-embedded system of mentoring, support, and professional learning that begins in the teacher’s first year of teaching. Educator preparation programs are locally designed and implemented in accordance with program standards and are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to recommend candidates for a Clear Credential.
